Free Acoustic Guitar Lessons - Learn How To Get Easy Guitar Lessons For Free
If you're just a beginner and don't know how to play the yet, you'll want to learn a few basics as soon as you can. Having already made the investment in a nice (they're cheaper than ever but you still need to save for them), you'll want to spend as little on lessons as possible, ideally nothing! If what you want is one to one free acoustic lessons then you are unlikely to find any. Actually, that's not true -- your best bet is to find a good friend who is also into guitars. He will probably be more than happy to share a few riffs and chords with you for free. But you are likely to only get a few limited lessons from him before he wants to carry on with his own development. Otherwise, try your school and see if they can give you free acoustic lessons. If there are no formal classes, ask your music teacher if they will help you. If they are a good teacher, they should be able to spare a few hours of their time as they love it when kids show an interest in playing. You could
also try your local municipal authority -- often courses and tuition can be found for free. Luckily, there are also a number of websites online where you can get free acoustic lessons. Most of them are websites, but a few of them even include some videos. My own personal recommendation you can find at the bottom of this article but let's start with the others first. About.com has a great eleven page free acoustic lessons archive that you can access. It covers loads of things including scales, strumming, basic chords and fingerpicking. It even has some mp3 files so you can hear how it is supposed to sound and try to replicate it. Also, if you go to you YouTube and type in "free acoustic lessons", you'll get over 180 results. These are mostly by players like you or I or your buddy who just want to help others and show them how to play. There are even a few professionals on there!
