Country Guitar Lesson - What Does It Involve?
What do you know about a country lesson? You would start of with the basic notes, the chords and then the progressions. You would learn the major and minor chords and maybe the seventh too. But what ever you do, it is must you learn at least the C, D, E, G and A chords as these are very important - sort of like a foundation to your entire learning session and this forms the basic for your country lesson.
On taking Country lessons, you might feel that it is of the same style as the blue or rocks but of course there are differences and that is why it is a different class of music. It is more clean and pure rather than the distortions that are seen to occur in most rock playing.
Before you start of with the country lesson, you need to know a few more basic techniques. The first is called strumming which
is just giving the chords and striking all the strings or a combination of strings. For example when you hold the G chord you have to strike on all the strings to get the note on the other hand, the when you hold the D chord you strike just the bottom three.
Initially when you are learning how to strum as part of the country lesson you need to have a sense of the rhythm that you use in this context. The next step in the country lesson is to learn how to pick the stings or pluck the strings. There are basically two types which is the finger picking and the flat picking. The finger picking involves picking each individual string by finger and flat picking is where you use the striker or the pick to pick the string.
What ever you do, make sure you put in your full effort and a lot of patience and I am sure you will succeed.
